How can I participate in i2I 2014?

For participation, you will be required to register where you will be asked some basic details (name of one team member and his/her contact information). After registration you will receive a  confirmation mail.

What is the registration/participation fee for i2I?

There is NO registration/participation fee.

What should be the size of my team?

The team can have a maximum of 4 members.

Can a team consist of people from different colleges/companies?

Yes, teams can consist of individuals from different colleges or companies. There are no restrictions on team composition except team size.

Can I have members in the team who are currently unemployed?

Yes. There are no restrictions on team composition except team size.

Do I compulsorily need to have a team?

Individual entries are also welcomed.

Can existing startups participate in the competition?

Start-ups incorporated not more than 12 months prior to 27th Jan 2014 are eligible under early start-up track. However start-ups older than 12 months are eligible to participate under mature start-up track.

Am I allowed to change my team?

Team detail once submitted are considered to be final. No changes in the team will be allowed after that.

Can I submit additional documents along with the submission?

No, we do not accept any other documents. The judging will be done only on the basis of the questionnaire and executive summary.

Can I submit more than one plan?

Yes you can. However you will have to register separately for each plan. It should be made sure that a different team name, e-mail id and contact number is used for each registration.

What is the last date of submission?

The last date for submitting the proposal for early start-up track is 30 th November 2013. Last date for submitting the proposal for mature start-up track is 15 th December 2013. Please see Timeline for other important dates.

How can I confirm that I have submitted the questionnaire?

You will get a confirmation mail within 48 hours of receiving your entry.

Will mentors be allotted to us or do we get to choose?

We have a list of mentors associated with the event. A conscious effort shall be made to give a particular plan a mentor pertaining to same sector. However, we don’t bar any team from having their own external mentors.

Will the travel fare be reimbursed for campus rounds (Round 3 &4)?

The travel fare for 2 members per team shall be reimbursed. Travel shall be reimbursed for 3rd AC or equivalent upto a maximum amount of Rs 3000.

What if I don’t want the seed capital? What is in i2I 2014 for me?

If you make it through the i2I process and reach the finals, it in itself would be a certification of credibility that would be a strong reference in your favor in future. There would be a lot of valuable ideas and people you would get to network with, in course of i2I.

Whether my B-Plan will be confidential?

Yes. Your B-Plan will be confidential. Since i2I is a closed door event, we have a non-disclosure clause for the B-Plan and any content presented during the competition. The access to the information will be available only to the judges and mentors of the B-Plans. TiE B Plan Competition is an open door event and therefore there isn’t an NDA applicable. However as all participants in i2I are guaranteed an NDA, the waiving off of NDA will be applicable only for those finalists selected for final pitches at TIE Competition.
